Ivanhoe Club is a premier family-oriented country club in the northwest Chicago suburbs and recent home to the PGA Tour’s Web.com Rust-Oleum Championship. In a private club atmosphere, we provide a friendly, comfortable haven to escape from the cares of the world – a true home away from home. We offer a challenging 27-hole championship course, tennis, swimming, full service locker rooms, jacuzzi and sauna.

Our three nine-hole routings are aptly named the Marsh, Forest and Prairie. Each

Current Openings

Ivanhoe Club has immediate part-time Restaurant Server positions available. The ideal individual is experienced and personable with availability to work 3 or more shifts per week. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and holidays required. Shifts start at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm respectively with double shifts available. $18-$25/hr.

We are seeking to fill multiple Server positions for various areas of the Club including our NEW! 19th Hole Patio; our A la Carte Restaurant and Deck; and our specialty events serving weddings, social occasions, and Club parties.

Here's what we are looking for in a candidate: 

Minimum 2 years Restaurant Server experience working with a full, upscale casual a la carte menu; availability to work through the entire year; a good understanding of working with the kitchen and placing orders into a POS; and can perform Table Service with confidence and style to include Cocktail Service, Wine Presentation, and a Verbal "Specials" Presentation. That easy "feel good" smile while serving others will take you a long way! With a Team approach in delivering service, we'll provide you with the training, support, and a positive and happy work atmosphere to be successful.

The Banquet Houseman is responsible for setting up all event spaces as outlined on the Banquet Event Order (BEO). This position entrain extensive physical  labor which includes lifting tables, chairs and other heavy equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carries out and ensures all information listed on the Banquet Event Order (BEO) is set-up in the event space.
  • Decorates and set-ups all buffets to the stated theme.
  • Polishes and ensures that all meeting rooms have water glasses, silverware and all other standard event set-up.
  • Checks and maintains all assigned storerooms have been cleaned and organized.
  • Ensures that all linen and skirts are free from stains and tears when being used for an event.
  • Ensures that the event rooms have been completed, cleaned and checked by a Houseman Shift Supervisor before the end of their shift.
ACCOUNTABILITY: The Banquet Houseman position does not have any supervisory/managerial responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE: No experience required. Willing to properly train an individual with an eagerness to learn and go getter attitude. Must maintain a high level of quality and professionalism at all times with team members and guests.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. This position also requires the ability to write simple correspondence. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. This position also requires the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay is $20-$22/hr.

Ivanhoe Club has seasonal part-time golf course and poolside cabana food server positions open through mid-October (Tuesday-Sunday Hours/Weekend & Holidays Required). General responsibilities include greeting members, taking food and beverage orders, providing attentive service, entering orders into POS computer, maintaing work area for cleanliness and sanitation. 

Salary range: $15-$18/hr. based on experience

Ivanhoe Club, located in Mundelein, is accepting applications for part-time banquet servers and bartenders. Job Type: Part-time. Weekend and Holiday availability required.

Wage: $16-$18/hour for Servers; $20/hour for Bartenders
We have immediate openings for part-time weekday morning golf Bag Room Attendants. In search of hardworking individuals who can endure a physically demanding job. Quick learner who appreciates a fast-paced working environment. Knowledge of golf is desired. Must have a driver’s license. 
 
Job entails:
Restocking/Setting Up the Range: Lifting crates of golf balls to set up the driving range, lifting buckets of balls to restock the range, replacing the tees in the golf bag stands.
 
Cleaning up/Setting up the Chipping Green: Lifting heavy baskets of balls to set up 3-5 stations at the chipping green area. Using bag shags to clean up the chipping range and replace them in baskets.
 
Picking the Driving Range: using driving machinery to clean up the golf balls on the driving range, lifting the baskets of dirty golf balls, and cleaning the golf balls with the ball washing machine.
 
Staging Carts in the Morning: taking carts from the cart barn and power washing the floorboard of the carts and any missed dirty areas of the carts. Filling the coolers with 2 water bottles and ice.
 
Checking the Tee Sheet: We use a web-based tee sheet called ForeTees. Checking the tee sheet to see who is playing, taking their bag out of the bag room, and preparing their bag on a cart for them before they arrive.
 
When members are finished with their round of golf: being polite and friendly, cleaning their clubs and asking them if their clubs are staying in the bag room or going up to bag drop (where they pick up their clubs in their car). Making sure their bag goes to the designated area as soon as possible.
 
Power washing each cart after every round of golf. Depending on the day/time, either refilling the ice and reusing and re-staging the carts or parking them in the cart barn.
 
Starting rate: $11/hr plus tips. Tips are pooled and split hourly.
We have an immediate, part-time opening for Valet Parking Attendants. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts required. Base Hourly Rate plus Tips. Minimum age requirement: 21 years old. Valet experience preferred. Send resume with cover letter to: Msisofo@ivanhoeclub.com.
 
We are now hiring lifeguards to observe and organize the activities of swimmers, enforcing pool policies and regulations, and providing emergency care if needed.  Lifeguards help oversee aquatic activities at Ivanhoe Club. Lifeguards can assist with swimming lessons and coaching our swim team, and are interactive with children at the pool. We expect lifeguards to explain and enforce rules and policies to ensure the safety of the members, and keep the pool and area around the pool clean. Our goal is to have a fun pool experience for Club members, and lifeguards are instrumental in helping create that atmosphere.  

$13/hr. Minimum age is 16.

Starting March 1, 2023, Ivanhoe Club will be accepting Caddie job inquiries for the 2023 season. Caddie registration will be held in person at Ivanhoe on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. Registration only takes 5 minutes and you will be asked to sign up for the training classes while here. New caddies are expected to attend at least 5 training sessions which will be held on select dates in April. Caddies that have already passed the test will be required to attend 2 refresher sessions. Members are responsible for paying caddies directly following a round. Members are encouraged to use cash, Venmo, Zelle and various other electronic platforms. As a preference, we highly encourage the use of Venmo or Zelle which creates a verifiable record of payment and receipt. We're asking all caddies to please have at least one electronic payment method such as Venmo or Zelle setup for these transactions.
